“I ordered a pie for a family member in PHX bc they wouldn’t be able to comehome for the Holidays. From Colorado they helped me make her dreams come true. I wantedher to have a taste of home even tho she wouldn’t be here and they went absolutely above andbeyond. The pie was gorgeous and rumor has it absolutely delicious. You have a customer forlife. Thank you Denise, the chef and everyone who made it happen yesterday!”

“I have lived in the area for the past 4 years and have driven by this placethousands of times and have never noticed it. My mom was in town and we were looking for anew place to eat and found this place. The food was awesome, the atmosphere was veryhomey and old fashioned which is my thing! Our server, Denise was very very friendly, andprovided awesome service! Although the name should be slap the cook instead of kiss the cookbecause the food is so darn good! 😁”

“Great home atmosphere and home cooking. Some restaurants say its homecooking and use sysco foods and frozen potatoes. Not at kiss the cook! Real cut potatoes andthe hamburgers are hand made. Probably the best hamburger I've had in a long time. Servicewas awesome! I'll definitely be coming back and recommending to my friends and family. Seeyou guys soon !!”

“This cozy family-run spot has been around for over 100 years and still servesup great food at reasonable prices. The portions are big, the menu has tons of variety, and theservice is super friendly, though parking and seating can be a bit tight. I loved my build-your-ownomelette, the free muffins were amazing, and overall I’d definitely recommend checking it out.”

“If your mom has passed away, and your wife ain’t skilled in the kitchen, thenyou need to visit Kiss the Cook Restaurant. There’s no place in Phoenix like this place, I tell youwhat. And if you’re a good southern boy, here’s your sign… you gotta go.
Now remember, insmall towns service is slower, and this establishment accurately resembles the small townservice. It’s friendly, no doubt, but these people are human, so cool your jets.
The coffee wasserved in a clear glass, which I’ll admit is a touch strange. And to our surprise (or perhaps ourmisunderstanding of the menu) we received a basket of mini muffins and butter (tossed in withthe muffins to soften it, nice touch!). The muffins were a mixed bag of flavors, not quality, andwere fantastic. Tangentially, I don’t understand why these individual containers of “butter” arerefrigerated in the first place, which necessitates the tossing in with the muffins for melting priorto the spreading process, but I digress….
When our meals arrived we were starving, and wedealt a swift devouring to them. We were both quite pleased with our choices, and the leftoverswere minimal. Chris, our server, was sweet like the muffins and kind like, well, a server shouldbe.
For our breakfast dessert we grabbed the last slice of cherry pie and an afterthought sliceof blueberry, both à la mode, which means with ice cream. Don’t you dare order pie without icecream, or Chris will give you that side eye. And you don’t want that side eye from Chris.”
